I wanted to be completely prepared for my life changing procedure as I had been waiting to get my breast done for as long as I can remember!

I wanted to be completely prepared, I wanted to know what I needed to take to the hospital and what I would need after my hospital stay.

That’s why I’ve decided to make the list below to help anyone out there seeking ¬†information and ¬†guidance on how to better prepare for their upcoming plastic surgery in Cuba:

Things you should get before your surgery:

1. Button or zip up tops
2. Packet of baby wipes or cleansing toilettes
3. Drinking Straws
4. Post surgery bra or sports bra

Please note: that you shouldn’t wear any nail polish or jewelry the day of your surgery.

How to better prepare yourself for surgery

1. Exercise, getting yourself to your ideal weight is strongly suggested before undergoing any type of plastic surgery, especially if the surgery is being done on a part of you body. Having a strong lower back and core will also help you during that month post surgery when your forced to sit and sleep in certain positions.

2. Do your research, spending some time on the computer doing some research and educating your self about the procedure your going to have done is a must, it better mentally prepares you for the whole process and also check the hospital and dr. reviews before going under the knife.

What to eat after surgery

What you eat after surgery will help with your recovery and healing process here is a list of foods I ate after my surgery and I truly did heal faster than my other friends who underwent the same surgery.

Nuts (unsalted), Almonds, Walnuts, Pine Nuts are all essential for the healing of the skin.

Seeds, Pumpkin, Sesame, Sunflower seeds are excellent for skin health.

Fruits, eating fresh fruit like Pineapple, Oranges, Kiwis, Banana and Apple will help boost your immune system.

Proteins, lean proteins such as Chicken, Eggs and lean meat are suggested for a speedy tissue repair.

If your a vegan or vegetarian you can replace the meats with beans, grains and soy.

Be sure to eat a healthy diet and try to get all your necessary daily nutrients and vitamins.

If necessary your Dr. will prescribe any additional supplements you may need.
